Alagumgube is a community association representing Farefari (Frafra)-speaking people, primarily from Bolgatanga, Bongo, Nangodi, Tongo, and the Nikaare people from Navrongo, Ghana. It was initially known as the Westnortheast Association and is now active in the Diaspora, including the US, as well as in Ghana. Alagumgube aims to promote unity, development, and cultural heritage within its community. It has established chapters across Ghana, including in Accra, and Kumasi, Ejura in the Bono East as well as Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region. The association has also been actively involved in charitable activities, such as donating to prisoners in Navrongo, Bolgatanga Regional Hospital, Madam Ladi’s Children’s Home and Anafobisi Primary B school.
